Vacancy

• Assistant Professor: 05 Posts [EWS- 01, UR – 03 and SC – 01]
• Associate Professor : 01 Post [UR – 01]

Pay Scale

Assistant Professor:

• Pay Band Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6000 [6th CPC]
• Pay Matrix – Level 10 as per 7th Pay Commission Recommendations (Partially implemented)

Associate Professor:

• Pay Band Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.9000 [6th CPC]
• Pay Matrix – Level 13A as per 7th Pay Commission Recommendations (Partially implemented)

Qualifications

Assistant Professor:

• Educational Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Social Sciences or any other discipline relevant to the work of MIDS and demonstrated ability to undertake independent research.
• Preference will be given for those who have field of specialization in the areas of Economics / History / Development Studies / Sociology / Anthropology / Political Science.

Associate Professor:

• Educational Qualifications: Good Academic record with a doctoral degree in Social Sciences or any other discipline relevant to the work of MIDS, with at least 5 published papers in reputed national/international journals/edited volumes – or equivalent thereof – and at least 8 years of experience of research/teaching at University / National level research institutions in regular position.
• Preference will be given for those who have field of specialization in the areas of Economics.
